Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of garage doors and related hardware. We are a Commercial based Garage Door company and Commercial experience is preferred.
This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. If you have a passion for hands-on work and possess the necessary skills, we encourage you to apply.
Duties
- Install garage doors and openers according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing garage doors.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installations.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate installations.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required for the installation of garage doors.
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and other equipment necessary for installation.
- Experience in carpentry or related fields is preferred; knowledge of trim carpentry is a plus. Willing to train the right person!
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge related to door hanging, fixture installation, and general construction practices.
- Previous experience with heavy lifting tasks is essential for this role.
- Familiarity with welding techniques is an advantage but not required.
